Features
Secure
Document Server is powered by a secure access and
digital rights management platform that enables content
to be published securely across the Internet and
also regulates access to that content. Content may
consist of web pages (or web applications), PDF documents,
JPG, GIF and PNG images, or MP3 audio files.
Secure
Document Server uses the protectAFeed™ User
Associated Certificate (UAC), an industry standard
X.509 digital certificate, to authenticate end-users
to access the content. Once authenticated, the UAC
itself is used to generate a unique SID (session ID)
that accompanies all requests by the user for content.
The SID is used to determine if the user has authorization
for specific content requested.
All
communications between the end-user and Secure
Document Server occur inside an SSL
encrypted connection using generally available
web browsers. |

When used together with the Secure
Viewer client software,
content may be further protected and encrypted, leveraging
the rights management and clearance levels that are
granted to the both the user and the content (i.e.
a user may have the right to read the content, but
not save or print it, or the content may require a
user to meet a minimum clearance level in order to
read the content).
Secure
Document Server is available as both an enterprise
installable application for the protection of internally
and externally distributed content with high security
requirements, and as an online service for the protection
of content distributed publicly via the internet.
Corporations are invited to arrange a web demonstration:
Web
demonstrations are available between 9-5pm Eastern time (EST).
